Empecé a pintar en 1990 con la técnica de Sumi-e, he atendido cursos y clases de dibujo, recientemente he pintado al aire libre, usualmente mis pinturas son de composiciones de fotografías y naturaleza muerta. Es un reto capturar la luz cambiante de un lugar en un momento... es un sentimiento el que se captura...

De todos los medios para pintar prefiero la acuarela, es portátil,no ensucia y no huele.

Aqui presento mi trabajo en Acuarela, todas pinturas originales. Las Galerías se dividen asi: 

Galería I, Atitlán, mi más reciente trabajo al aire libre en el Lago de Atlitlán. Colores turquezas y lilas con el sol cambiante y los reflejos del las nubes en el lago, atarderes encendidos en fuego...visitantes, ahogados..., soledades...suspiros... Uno de los lagos mas bellos del mundo con volcanes, montañas y misterio...

Galería II, Orquídeas de Guatemala. Una vez al año la Asociación de Orquideas de Guatemala hace una exposición.   Tomo varias fotografías para luego pintarlas en el estudio.

Galería III, Más de Guatemala. Antigua, playa de arena negra, palmeras, Quetzal, Encinos...

Galería IV, Otros lados del mundo. Giverny, el jardin de Monet, Francia...Estas son composiciones de mis fotografias.

Galeria VII,2000 curso de Sumi-e con Susan Frame. Desde que empezé a pintar esta técnina me ha fascinado por lo espontáneo y libre de dibujo.

Born in Boston Mass. Came  to Guatemala since I was 2 years old. 

I started painting in 1990 with the technique of Sumi-e. I have exhibited in collective shows once a year and have attended different workshops. I began painting on location. I find it an enjoyable challenge to try to capture the fleeting light, colors, and spirit of a natural location.

I like watercolor best of all mediums,  I find it faster and easy to carry, no mess no smell. 

So here, I present to you my work on watercolor, all original paintings.  The Galleries are divided like this: 

Gallery I,  At the Lake: Atitlán is one of the most beautiful lakes in the world, I have the opportunity to paint there, the light changes and the color of the lake is different with the clouds and sunlight.  Volcanoes, mountains, mystery, loneliness, drowned, visitors ...

Gallery II, Orchids of Guatemala. In February each year there is an exhibit of orchids, I take a lot of pictures and paint them at my studio.

Gallery III, From Guatemala. Black sand beach and palm trees....   Antigua, The Quetzal, Bouganvillias, Encinos...

Gallery IV, Parts of the World. I like to travel and have visited Europe.  Giverny France, Monet´s garden and house, a favorite and popular place now for painters and visitors. Paintings are based or my own photographs.

Gallery VI, Workshop was in Hawaii 1998, with Timothy Clark, these paintings are done on location. The first done on location...drawer pantings forever...
